The Institute offers opportunities for Ph.D. research in Economics. Such opportunities relate to any area in the Economics discipline, but with special focus on the key mandate areas of the Institute. Post Graduates, with not less than 55 per cent marks in their qualifying examination, can apply. Applications can be made throughout the year. Based on a preliminary interview , the candidates will be short- listed and intimated   to that effect. The short-listed candidates will be asked to identify a research problem ,and to prepare a writ-up on the same. This proposal,along with demonstrated research interest, will be the key consideration for final selection of candidates.
